11th annual Thanksgiving Day 5K Turkey Trot
Congratulations and thank you Turkey Trotters for another amazing event!
This was our very first time at Jefferson Patterson Park, but it wont be our last. Be on the lookout for news of our exciting new 2023 race series. For year 11, we’re hitting the trails at Jefferson Patterson Park. JPPM is located in Saint Leonard, just 12 miles south of Project ECHO. This park has miles of trails, views of the Patuxent River, and more historical features than we can list. It’s a beautiful place for a race and we can’t wait to see you there!
How To Register
We have several convenient ways for you to sign up. Register before Nov. 4 and you’re guaranteed a free t-shirt. Register before Nov. 18 and save $5 per person with the Early Bird Discount. Registration cost is $25 per child, $25 to sponsor a resident, $30 per adult before Nov. 18, and $35 per adult from Nov. 19 – 24.
Pre-register Online: Online registration is available now through November 21st
Pre-register Electronically: Download this pdf, fill it in and electronically sign the waiver, and be sure to click save. Then use the QR codes to pay via PayPal or Venmo and email us your document.
Pre-register via mail or walk-in: Print and fill in a paper form, then mail it to our P.O. Box or hand deliver it to the Shelter or Thrift Shop. Check, cash, charge, and online payments accepted.
Procrastination Registration: Last-minute decision? Busy week? We got you covered. Nov. 22 & 23 register in person at Project ECHO Thrift & Gift Shop during pre-registration pickups and early check-in. *Please note early discounts will have expired and 2022 t-shirts may no longer be available.
Race Day Registration: Race day registration opens on-site at 6:00 am. Be sure to give yourself plenty of time for parking, check-in, and warm-up.
Packet Pick-up and Early Check-in
Save time on race day, pick up your race bibs and t-shirts on Nov. 22 & 23 at Project ECHO Thrift & Gift Shop. *Please note pickups are only at the shop, not the shelter.
Location: Project ECHO Thrift & Gift Shop, 885 Main St. Prince Frederick, MD 20678
Hours: Tuesday, Nov. 22, 10:00 am – 6:00 pm & Wednesday, Nov. 23, 3:00 pm – 6:00 pm. *Please note this is outside of regular shop hours and race materials will not be available while the shop is open.
Race Day Schedule
Location: Jefferson Patterson Park & Museum, 10515 Mackall Rd, Saint Leonard, MD 20685
6:00 am – 6:50 am: Arrive, park, register or check-in, warm up, and get ready to race!
6:00 am: On-site registration and pre-registration check-in
6:50 am: Yoga warm-up
7:00 am: Start Time
8:00 am: (Approximate) Awards Ceremony
Race Course
5K: The course is suitable for adults and children, runners and walkers, and timed and untimed participants.
Virtual: For those who aren’t able to join us on Thanksgiving morning, but still want to support Project ECHO. Run or walk whenever and wherever you choose between now and the end of November. Share your Turkey Trot experience by sending us pictures and/or tagging us on social media.
Additional Details
Complimentary light refreshments will be available before and after the race.
Port-o-potties and First Aid will be available near the start/finish line.
11th annual t-shirts are limited, but past year’s Turkey Trot shirts will be available.
Complete race results will be posted online at www.projectECHO.net as soon as they are available.
